Here at Eco Web Hosting, we believe in being as human as possible. From our first class support team, to our top-notch developers, our team members are with you every step of the way throughout your time with us.
Over the course of the next few weeks, we thought we’d share our team with you! Below, you’ll find the profiles of two of Eco Web Hosting’s longest standing Employees. Andy, one of our Developers, and Tak, our Sales Manager.
I’m Andy. I started at Eco Web Hosting in 2015, a little time after Rob launched his Complete Web Developer course, where I helped with technical support queries and various other day-to-day bobbins.
There are a few reasons I chose to work at Eco Web Hosting.
A biggie is that Eco seemed to be founded around being decent, transparent and as human as possible to customers, affiliates and staff alike. This is hopefully something we’ve succeeded in building on in the time I’ve been here.
Another reason is the encouragement I’ve had to learn new skills. Since I’ve been here, I’ve gone from being a novice developer to taking on big projects with confidence.
Though it wasn’t the biggest project I was involved in (that accolade goes to our 2017 platform migration), a project I’m particularly proud of was building our admin system from scratch, which halved the time it took to deal with most support queries and has become the nucleus of much of the day-to-day running of the company.
I’m currently working on a top-secret product launch (watch this space!), listening dev-friendly music (Khruangbin, NEU! and Amen Dunes — laid-back, motivationally groovy, unobtrusive) and appreciating the rarity of sunny weather in the UK.
Hi! I’m Tak and I joined the Eco Web Hosting team in 2015 as Business Development Manager helping with technical support and sales enquiries. I’ve worked in the web hosting industry for over a decade now and enjoy the challenges it brings helping companies grow their online presence. I’ve previously account managed some leading brands such as Barker and Stonehouse and LA Fitness helping them grow online.
My aim is to do the same for Eco Web Hosting customers. Ensuring customers get the right products to help their websites perform online. I came to Eco Web Hosting when it was a very small outfit and have helped the company grow operationally. As we expand we’ve been able to improve our services offering faster and more reliable email and web hosting, better technical support and more web solution products to improve customer websites.
Eco Web Hosting is unlike any company I have worked for. With our close knit team, we have a camaraderie which is lacking in some larger corporate environments. I’m encouraged to grow personally allowing me to improve my technical skills which in turns helps me provide better and more personal offerings to our customer base.
In my spare time I’m physically active holding a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwon-Do and train in Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jujisu several times a week. I’m also very much into retro computing, namely Commodore Amigas tinkering with 20th century technology, bringing it into the 21st century.
We hope you enjoyed learning about some of our team members and how they came to work with us. Watch this space for the next instalment featuring Mike and Chris!
